Dwell Time were filming in Huddersfield today for our CrossCountry promo video. It was a full day and there was lots of downtime in between the actual filming which created lots of space for conversation. I did a piece to camera too and we staged lots of conversations. Two of the artists we work with separately became quite emotionally about the positive impact Dwell Time has had on their lives and there were tears and hugs a plenty (off camera). The filming provided an opportunity for us all to reflect on what the project has meant for us and the downtime allowed for some really good connective conversations. I think if we’d been rushing around and cramming it in we just wouldn’t have had the opportunity for the meaningful dialogue.

I audio recorded a Flask Conversation with Lucy today as well as a catch up. She mentioned that the conversation had created a memory recall she hadn’t expected and I reflected that this seemed to be a common trope.
