The exhibition is installed thanks to Carol and Glen who helped me put it all up.
It’s perhaps a bit odd in a way, but the work always seems somehow different when it is up on the walls in an exhibition, but then again perhaps more so, given that the work from this project has had no time lapse between creation and exhibition. Exhibition moves the work away from you as the artist, and that slight distance adds a certain clarity and objectivity. I think it has something to do with confirmation too, as your ideas are realised and you are looking back at it as completed.
Having said that, the project is not complete, many pieces that did not make it into the exhibition are still partly developed. I shall finish those during the next couple of weeks, along with a second Devices piece for that series.
