Fareham Arts Festival is a new multi venue, multi arts event taking place on the south coast this August.

From August 8th – 16th you can experience various free art exhibitions in unusual venues and take part in free and low cost arts workshops including distinguished artist, Jon Adam’s Art Council and Parliament funded, Democracy Street project (he is running a rare workshop for us).

There are also concerts over the 9 days, in different venues, some are free and the highest other cost is £5.

We have film, with The Lego Movie being shown at one of the only running brickworks in the country, where you can make a brick afterwards.  We also have the gala screening of Fareham Shorts a new International Short Film competition judged by industry experts, including BAFTA winner Daisy Jacobs and award winning artist and official Sundance selection filmmaker, Anna Cady (this is only £3).

There are various literature workshops, including free workshops, readings, book signings and a very special Apples and Snakes performance with Adam Kammerling.

We also have theatre with 3 fantastic young theatre companies giving free performances and a very cheap children’s theatre workshop at only £1.50 with International theatre workshop, Stardust teaching children the art of storytelling and improv,
