After the success of the first day of the Alternative Christmas Market, the next two days were not as good as we expected. This was due to the council implementing a one-way system for the Christmas Market, so visitors had no autonomy over how they negotiated the city centre. On Sunday, because this was relaxed, we had a lot more visitors, and a lot more sales, but we didn’t make enough to break even, so we decided to have another weekend for the Alternative Christmas Market this coming weekend.
I’m thinking January sales might be a good idea, but can’t really lower the price of work to sell without undercutting ourselves beyond what would be reasonably acceptable. Hmmmm.
