The names of the silver winning rowers are Zac Purchase and Mark Hunter.

Had an idea: putting blue plaques on building that “used to be” something else. For Example, the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool stands on the site of Derby Baths – an Olympic size swimming pools with boards that was “replaced” by the Sandcastle amusment, wave pool. Retirement homes in Lytham used to be a public swimming baths. Etc, etc, etc, you get the idea.

defines vandalism as “a crime that damages people’s quality of life and costs communities millions to repair. It’s easy to dismiss it as a minor offence, but it has a big impact on neighbourhoods.”

The old, Post Office building in Preston has been empty since 2002. Preston City Council and the North West Development Agency bought it in 2005.
