This installation was developed towards the end of my Undergraduate degree show in 2012. I used the platonic solid of a Dodecahedron as a reoccurring motif in many of my short stories. It represented the contradictions in science between the apparent vastness or smallness of our universe. I adore ambiguity in life and so I adopted this concept into my work. Here I installed the work on Campus at Broadcasting Place, Leeds.
Let me tell a story. Let the characters come to life. Let us journey into a different world. This is the process of storytelling that informs my art practice. I'm a multidisciplinary visual artist working with creative writing, installation, recorded performance. For me storytelling is visual communication. I create new worlds, raising questions on philosophy, science and our existence. For the past two years this has been faciliated through my art series entitled 'conversations with a minotaur'. Exploring my own concerns through the fictional narrative of Manfred Charles Earlsforth, the minotaur.
