Sporting League: Game 38

Sporting Radio Pundit X: ‘Well, what a day we’ve had! Novia are the champions for the second time in three years staging a remarkable comeback in the league. My bank manager is pleased with my spread betting form of late, and this is just the icing on the cake for me as I put a few quid on the Novia lifting The Sporting Trophy. To let you guys into a bit of a secret, I had a wee premonition at the start of the season. I was walking through Sporting City Zone 45 Y on the first day of the season and the sun hit the Millosh building. That’s when my premonition happened; I could see the Novia players streaming across the pitch holding aloft the immortal trophy. It’s the stuff of legends wot happened out there today. The Universo fans still look dazed.’

Universo believed that they’d won the league after falsely leaked info suggesting that Novia had drawn against Olby, when in fact they scored two injury time winners to seal the championship. Novia boss: ‘I’ve been speechless until now, I really thought that Universo were the champions as we couldn’t get anything past the Olbs.’

Athletico continued their growing reputation as the close but no cigar crew after starting the day in pole position but could only manage a one all draw with Delta…Bayerns held on to a top five finish with a two nil win to relegate Liver Halvers.
