The Sporting League: Game 4

Athletico continued their early statement of intent to stay top with an assured two goals to nil win over Lunderbach.

Athletico boss: We need to keep up the early pressure and keep our heads. I’m still consulting with the board to see if we can get ourselves a solid centre half.’

Universo Collunteen made hard work of their two goals to one away win over Sporting Athlete.

Sporting Radio Pundit X: ‘I was expecting a bit more quality from the Universo, but they won’t care as they put another three points on the board.’

Green Tree found champions Pointeso in relentless form as the woodsmen felt the axe to the tune of four conceded goals on home turf.

Pointeso boss: ‘Good to see us slipping through the gears – a champagne performance…’

New kids Kite Vale recorded a shock victory over Novia as they’ve now recorded three wins in a row since their opening day defeat to Sporting Athlete.

Vale gaffer: ‘We’re starting to show the rest of the league why we deserve to be here. I’ve read all that stuff in the Pointesian Times about us not being net worthy enough…complete trash talk. I can’t wait for us to meet Pointeso now.’
