Sporting League – Game 29 Results.

Universo Collunteen chipped another two points off the league leaders with an impressive away display against Pacifica.

Sporting Radio Pundit G met a Universo supporter after the game.

Pundit G: ‘It’s a dead cert two horse race again – what did you make of that performance?’

Supporter: ‘We loved it out there. I came down here with my mates and we always go out along the Pacifican coast after the match. We’ll do it again – I’ve got a good feelin’. Look, we were written off two years ago and we surprised a lot of people…’

Bayerns are still scratching their heads being in sixth place after only losing three games all season. They made hard work of their game against Green Tree, eventually recording a three goals to two win.

Sporting Radio Pundit X: ‘The Bayerns side along with Athletico, Novia and Tranquilayers have played it a bit too safe for me in key games. I think that’s why we’re seeing Universo and Pointeso control the top two positions.’

The match of the day saw Pointeso hold onto a draw with Athletico which finished a goal a piece.

Pundit X: ‘What were yiz playin’ at out there in the second half eh? I think ya need to be lookin’ at the ol’ tactics again…ye had Pointeso runnin’ scared for the most part…’

Bayerns boss: ‘Our players gave everything out there today – with a couple carrying injuries. Team selection is a complex skill and is probably why some of us are managers and others are pundits.’

Tranquilayers are flying high into something of a dream like state after hammering Saints by six goals to nil.

The Sporting League: Game 26

Pointeso held onto their seven point gap at the top with a one goal to nil win over Olby.

Universo Collunteen came back from a goal down to take all three points against Chamber Athlete.

The big match of the day finished all square between Bayerns and Novia.

Pundit X: ‘It was a bit strange out there today at the Bayerns match. There were some…I don’t know…something in the sky seemed to be distracting the passage of play. It was almost like hearing keys tapping on a keyboard. I thought it was just me but a lot of supporters could hear the same thing. Well, as for the game, I’ve seen better. Novia are hanging on by the skin of their teeth now – they don’t have enough depth to sustain a challenge now.’
