After my major triumph over the vagaries of technology, I’ve decided to stop whinging about things I can’t do and talk about things I can do. Shall devote this blog to my MA tasks. Currently I’m working on a power-point which I can use to talk about my progress at the group assessment coming up soon. Haven’t made a power-point for some time so hope I can remember how…..wow…on the verge of a whinge again….beware!!!

It’s complicated, as my theme of ‘the emotional attachment to landscape by an artist’ has almost been highjacked by my involvement with Suffolk Open Studios which I joined this year. I hadn’t realised how much time this would take up. To be honest, I hadn’t given serious thought to selling my work until recently. The business/networking side of art doesn’t come naturally, or appeal to me, but it has to be considered. All I really want to do is paint.

As part of my MA at UCS Ipswich, I’m hoping to organise and run an art class for adults. Here is the cover of the flyer which I designed through an online site. All this admin leaves little time for painting which is bad news. I’ve been busy helping to publicise Suffolk Open Studios which is another admin job. But it was good to meet other artists in the area and am now looking forward to the event which takes place on 6,7 ,20, 21 June.
